Growing up on a small family farm in Pennsylvania, Jeremy developed an early love for dairy farming, working side by side with his father and brother in their stanchion barn. After exploring options in high school, he found himself drawn back to farming, eventually applying to Cornell University, and discovered Cayuga Milk through the university’s Dairy Fellows program. Jeremy recalls hearing about Cayuga in college from professors who shared the innovative practices they observed at Cayuga farms, inspiring his own vision of working with like-minded professionals.
Growing up, my family had a stanchion barn with 35 stalls. I did everything my dad did and I fell in love with farming at that point.

Commitment to Quality and Community
For Jeremy, Cayuga Milk Ingredients was more than just a professional fit—it was a community of farmers dedicated to quality, stewardship, and mutual success. ‘The people here don’t just do things to get by; they think holistically and strive to be the best,’ he explains. ‘We’re all asking, “How can we be better neighbors, have a broader impact, and build a good name for all farmers?”’ This commitment to continuous improvement closely aligns with Cayuga’s values and has enabled Jeremy to thrive within the organization.
From Cornell to Cayuga: Jeremy’s Path to Twin Birch Dairy
Jeremy’s first role with Cayuga was at Milbrook Farms in Groton, where he started in 2006 and steadily advanced from intern to partner over the course of seven years. His next transition brought him to Twin Birch Dairy in 2015, where he partnered with Dirk and Todd, fellow Cayuga farmers with complementary skills. At Twin Birch, Jeremy manages operations with a focus on cattle care and quality control, supported by a team of 26 employees who share his dedication to excellence.
With over a decade in the dairy industry, Jeremy has proven his commitment to continually enhancing milk production quality. His attention to detail and goal-setting has led to significant improvements in herd health and efficiency. Jeremy’s wife, a veterinarian with Midstate Clinic in Cortland, New York, also contributes to Cayuga’s community of care, working alongside him to ensure the wellbeing of their cattle and the quality of the milk produced.
Why Cayuga Milk? Innovation and Quality
Jeremy emphasizes that Cayuga’s values and the quality of life it affords farmers set it apart from traditional dairy cooperatives. “Being part of Cayuga means not only excelling in milk production but also having the support and flexibility to balance life and work,” he says. “It’s not just what I do; it’s who I am, and being with Cayuga makes it possible to succeed and still be present with my family.”
Jeremy’s involvement extends beyond the barn to leadership and advocacy, as he contributes to Cayuga’s board and stays active with programs like the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) and the FARM Program. His dedication to quality, innovation, and community make Jeremy a proud representative of Cayuga Milk Ingredients.
